Meet Your Guide
Hi, I’m Kristin Szalajko, a Certified Professional Career Coach. I’m a commercial real estate paralegal turned career coach. I made a career change and am looking to help others do the same thing.
I have created an in-depth process that breaks down the “secrets” to finding the right career for you. My course helps you look at careers as you never have before. I really value getting to know people as individuals and finding something that fits them.
My life outside of Simplex Careers consists of chasing down my four children and taking some much needed “me time” in yoga class.
My Story
I have worked full-time as a paralegal for a decade. In 2018, I got pregnant with my third child and felt a longing to be home with my children.
I love my paralegal career and did not want to leave it. But being away from my kids for 11 hours a day was taking its toll on me and my family. So, I asked my company if I could work from home.
They said “no” L
All I’d ever known was being a paralegal. If I couldn’t do that, what would I do? I didn’t have any other passions that could make her the kind of money I was making.
This got me started down a year-long rabbit hole. I delved deep into a research study of passion and careers; exploring what makes a great career and how to find the right fit.
I read countless books, website articles, and research studies. What I found were the “secrets” to having a great career. I say “secrets” because none of this information was laid out fully by one person or place.
I wanted to share all the information I found with everyone I could. EVERYONE wants to have a job that’s a good fit for them and, let’s be honest, most of us struggle figuring out what that job is.
The truth behind a great career is simple – but this information was so hard to find. So, I became a certified career coach and compiled my research into a course. This was the birth of my coaching program.
